This event was jointly organised by McDonald's Malaysia and Olympic Malaysia. There are total 11,000 participants this year compared to last year 7,000. This was due to the newly introduced team and family categories to encouraged more participants and more competitive. But the best thing of this event is the cheap registration fees and multi-color choice t-shirt. Wonder why there is no McDonald favorite color t-shirt.
The flag-off were in stages by categories. Due to the huge crowd and many categories, there were incident that the coming back crowd clashed with the going out crowd and created human traffic jammed. The rule for the team and family is all team members must crossed the finishing line together. As such, noticed that some already arrived members anxiously waiting for their late team member to cross the finishing line together. The purpose of the rule is to cultivate team spirit and team pacing as the strength of a chain lies in its weakest link. Hopefully next year the organiser will continue with these two categories.
