Enviro Run was a community run organized by Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment with the technical support by FTAAA. Initially the response was not encouraging even thought registration is FREE and with free t-shirt. Maybe it was due to many runners participated in the Putrajaya Night Marathon on 20 Oct night and has no energy and strength to join this run. But surprisingly at the event morning, many runners joined last minute, especially men open and caused long queue during bib collection. Many whom ran the night before also appeared to support the event.
The run is 5km for girls junior and senior veteran, 7km for open, boy juniors and men junior veteran. The prizes prepared to winners is unique, whereby 80 mountain bikes for 80 winners in 8 categories were ready to be won. It costs RM500 each. Winners were happy when received the bicycle. Beside that additional 20 bicycles and more than 100 hampers are lucky draw prizes. Many lucky runners went back happily.
The prizes presentation was smooth, just the senamrobit, speeches, VIP interviewed sessions before the prize presentation were too lengthy.
Hopefully this run would become annual event which will benefit the community.
